Rules for obtaining a Canine
Federation of Canada Championship
I. CFC Championship can be obtained
for dogs who receive 3 CACS (Certificate of aptitude for the championship
of conformity to the standard) and a rating of EXCELLENT given from
3 different judges. All dogs over the age of 15 months are
eligible for a full CFC championship and whose breed is fully recognized
by the Canine Federation of Canada or by the Federation Cynologique
Internationale (F.C.I.).
II. CACS: One CACS per breed and per sex (male and female) will be giving. The following classes will compete for the CACS : Working, Intermediate and Open.
III. A CFC Champion can become an
Elite Champion if he/she compete in the Champion class. To get the title
Elite Champion, he has to receive 4 CACSC from 4 different judges. The title of Elite Champion will be
sent as soon as the dog will receive the forth CACSC and the owner notifies the CFC.
IV. A CACSC are given at the judges discretion to the best male and the best female of the Champion Class.
V. You must notify the CFC when your dog has attained all of the requirements, which qualifies your dog as a Canadian CFC Champion. You must follow all the rules and regulations to receive
your championship certificate. No dog will be officially a Canadian CFC Champion until the certificate of championship is issued.
You must send a photocopy of your dog’s CACS along with a cheque of 10$.
VI. You must notify the CFC when your dog has attained all of the requirements, which qualifies your dog as a Canadian CFC ELITE Champion. You must follow all the rules and regulations to receive
your ELITEchampionship certificate. No dog will be officially a Canadian CFC ELITEChampion until the certificate of championship is issued.
You must send a photocopy of your dog’s CACSC along with a cheque of 10$.
VII. Junior Championship title: A Junior (9 to 18 mth) can obtained a CH title when he/she has accumulated 3 Best Junior cards with the rating of Excellent and 1st placement have been awarded. You must notify the CFC by sending a photocopy of your dog’s 3 Best Junior cards along with a cheque of 10$. A Junior Champion cannot qualify to compete in the Champion class (adulte). Nor is it to be considered full entitlement of a Canadian Canine Federation of Canada Championship.
VIII. A dog must have a certified
pedigree with at least three (3) generations, issued by an organization
recognized by the Canine Federation of Canada, by all countries members
of the Federation Cynologique Interntionale (F.C.I.) The Kennel Club
(England), The United Kennel club, AKC or CKC.
FOR BREEDS RECOGNIZED BY THE FEDERAL CYNOLOGIQUE
INTERNATIONAL (FCI), THE APPROVED BREED STANDARDS FOR THE ORGANIZATION
WILL BE USED FOR THE CFC SHOWS.
REGISTRATION
Registration forms received incomplete or without
complete payment will not be accepted. In the event that a cheque
payable for entry fees is returned NSF , there will be a service charge
of $20.00 per cheque .
Make all cheques/money orders payable to the Canine
Federation of Canada; the CFC cannot assume responsibility for cash
sent through the mail.
Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event a
dog is absent , excused by Veterinarian or Judge , disqualified ,
or barred from competition by the CFC. In the event of riots , civil
disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the CFC, it becomes
impossible to open or complete the show , no refunds will be made.
- NO ENTRY FEES will be returned after the closing date and time.
- NO CHANGE OR CANCELLATION of any entry after closing date and time
will be permitted.
- NO ENTRY shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies
any condition as to its acceptance.
Errors on Entry Forms :
No entry fees will be refunded in the event of human error or cancellation
of entries after the published closing date.
FOREIGN EXHIBITORS
Due to constantly fluctuating currency rates , it
is in your best interest to pay registration fees in Canadian funds.
To simplify the process , we urge you to purchase bank drafts or money
orders payable in Canadian Funds. Your understanding and co-operation
is very much appreciated.
HEALTH
The Canine Federation of Canada will use due care
and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors but will not
be responsible for or assume any liability in the event of an accident
, or other misfortune , to either dogs , exhibitors or patrons.
JUDGES
Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class.
Owner/handlers are responsible for the presence of their dogs when
their class is announced. No discussion with the judge will be tolerated
, except when questions are being asked by the judge. No remarks to
judges will be tolerated while in the show ring.
AROUND AND NEAR THE RINGS
Every effort will be made to accommodate our exhibitors.
Should there be a judging conflict , the exhibitor shall be responsible
for registering his/her disagreement with the Secretary at ring side.
Exhibitors are requested to keep the grooming area and crating areas
clean and tidy. Dogs not being exhibited or groomed must be crated.
If space is at a premium , at the request of the CFC exhibitors will
be asked to remove private exercise pens.
- Excessive aggression will not be tolerated. You will be asked to
leave the show grounds and entry fees will not be refunded.
- PRONG COLLARS are not permitted in the show ring , nor will flexi
leads be allowed on the show site at any time.
- EACH PERSON will be responsible for their dog's behavior and droppings.
The show committee will strictly enforce this rule. Anyone that has
been warned more than once will be asked to leave the show site and
the entry fee will not be refunded.
ATTENTION only the dogs registered with the various
competitions are allowed to the CFC dog show site .
SHOW TIME TABLE
As much as possible , the CFC will schedule their
shows as follows: A.M. shows to commence at 8:30 AM - PM shows will
commence one hour after the completion of the AM show. In the event
of Specialty Shows , show times may be changed or modified. Where
possible , show times will be published in the Premium List and/or
will be available at the Secretary's table.
