CANS/CFC SHOW ANNOUCEMENT !!!!!
Good afternoon folks,
The C.A.N.S/CFC show committee has received many inquiries about the CANS/CFC All Breed Championship Dog Show scheduled for October 16th & 17th , 2010 at the Hants County Exhibition Grounds, located in Windsor, Nova Scotia. The show grounds are located a short drive from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
C.A.N.S operates under the auspices of the Canine Federation of Canada (CFC) which is an organization independent from the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). Dogs are judged under the FCI format. For more information about the CFC organization please visit www.caninecanada.ca
There will be two All Breed Championship Shows each day plus the " Best of the Best" award for the Top Dog on Sunday afternoon.
These shows are limited entry- (160 per show). We encourage exhibitors forward enter these shows early The official show Premium List will be posted on the Canuck Dogs site (www,canuck.dogs.com) over the next few weeks. The show hotel is the Super 8 Hotel Windsor ... located a few minutes from the show site. The show committee has reserved a block of rooms ($ 109.00) per night for exhibitors and visitors. From an idea of a few "dedicated dog lovers" to the formation of the C.A.N.S. in early 2009 the association is poised for tremendous growth as indicated by the number of exhibitors who have attended past events. These shows offer a relaxing show environment and wonderful " Maritime Hospitality" . Just ask exhibitors who attended the shows last year and who have already made plans to attend the October 2010 shows plus shows in May and October in 2011 and 2012!

VASCONSELLOS, Senor Juan Carlos Asunción, PARAGUAY
FCI All Rounder
Juan was born in in Asunción, Paraguay, Architect by profession, All Round Judge for the Paraguay Kennel Club and the FCI (Federation Cinologique Internationale) . He has dedicated himself to the Cinofília since he was young. He has been a breeder and exhibitor of Salukis since 1976. Exemplary Salukis from his kennel "Anjal Sahara" (Sons of the Desert) have obtained numerous victories, World Championships, International Championships, Latin American Championships and from various countries, as well as Best of the Show in Latin American countries and Best of the Group in Europe. Exemplary Salukis from his kennel have been Dog of the Year (All Breed) and Puppy of the year (All Breed) for four years. Over the years his Kennel has had 8 World Champions (FCI).
For more than 20 years Juan has occupied various positions in the Paraguay Kennel Club, in the Management Committee, as Secretariat of the Management Committee, Vice-President and President, as well as the Show Committee. At the moment he is a member of the Council of Judges, of the Genealogical Department and Lifelong Member of the Paraguayan Kennel Club. Juan was a founding member of the Saluki Club of Paraguay, of which at the moment he is its President. He has been a representative of the PKC at Sicalam Meetings, from its beginning, and World Meetings of the FCI.
He has been the owner of the following breeds: German Shepherd, English Cocker Spaniel, Smooth Fox Terrier, Whippet and Dobermann. Currently he owns following breeds: Yorkshire Terrier, Miniature Schnauzer, Beagle and Saluki; and he is breeding Salukis and Beagles. Salukis from his kennels are found, in addition to Paraguay, in prestigious kennels in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Venezuela and Finland.
Juan has judged in shows like the Eukanuba Cup in Sao Paulo/Brazil in 2003, in the Saluki Specialty Show in Seattle/USA and in Australia, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, the USA and Paraguay. Judged in All Round Shows in Brazil and the San Angeles Saluki Club Specialty in Lompoc, California, in July 28th 2006 and the Western Classic Weekend in Perth, Australia, in March 2007.
RAITA, Ritva FINLAND \
FCI All Breeds
Breeds owned/bred: Airedale, Cairn & West Highland White Terriers, Welsh Corgi Pembroke, Dobermann, Dachshunds. Already Mrs. Raita's father was a breeder, so she was born into a "doggy" family. Ritva is a second generation show dog judge and has been judging for well over 50 years. She started breeding under her own prefix in 1948. Fluent in Finnish, Swedish, English, German, & Danish. Has judged over Europe, USA, Canada, South America, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia, Singapore, & Russia.
Year of first qualification: 1953, Qualified to judge: All Breeds. Mrs. Raita is an honorary member of the Finnish Kennel Club and the Finnish Welsh Corgi Club. She has been awarded the Golden Medals of Honour of the Finnish, Swedish and Danish Kennel Clubs, and the Finnish Terrier Club. She has been very active in the club work, and the President of the Corgi Club for several years. Now she has West Highland White Terriers. Nowadays she judges dogs abroad more than in Finland. Has judged Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, America, Canada, Argentina, Japan, South Africa, Philippines, and Thailand, where she judged "The Champion of Champions".
VANDONI, Dr. Guido, ITALY
FCI Groups 1, 2, 4 & 5 + BIS
Breeder and owner of many Italian and International Champions of Mastino Napoletano, French Bulldog, English Bulldog, English Cocker Spaniel, Miniature Schnauzer. International FCI judge since 1975. Authorized to judge groups 1, 2, 4, 5, breeds from groups 9 and 10, and Best In Show. Besides Italy, his country of origin, he has judged in many countries in Europe, as well as North, South and Central America and Asia. Author of books and many articles on Mastino Napoletano, Cane Corso and Molosser breeds and of general cynotechnics and cynognostics. He has attended as lecturer, moderator or chairman many meetings, round tables and congresses. He was a member of some ENCI (Italian Kennel Club) Committees and the Central Executive Committee. Member of many breed clubs is or was a member of the directors or technical committee for many of them. Frequently asked to be a member of committees for the education and examination of new Italian judges.
